Ride Sure Assist

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Ride Sure Assist collects, why we collect it, how we look after it and the rights you have. It applies to this website, our membership service and calls to our recovery line.

Who We Are

Ride Sure Assist (company number 17447494) is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about your information using our contact form or by calling 07783 529805.

What We Collect

  • Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number and message when you contact us, register interest in membership or enquire about the dealership programme.
  • Membership: your name, date of birth, address, email address, phone number, the make, model and registration of each registered motorcycle, your Membership Number, membership type, billing frequency, payment history, membership status and dates, your confirmation that your motorcycles meet the weight and wheel limits, the version of the membership terms you accepted, and any change or cancellation requests you send us.
  • Recovery progress: if you choose to receive progress updates through WhatsApp, the messages and any location shared are handled through WhatsApp, which is provided by Meta under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Payments: card payments are handled by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of payment and a payment reference, but we never see or store your full card details.
  • Recovery calls: where you are, what has happened, your contact details, details of your motorcycle and anyone travelling with you, and the arrangements we agree. Members’ call-outs (date, motorcycle, location, status and outcome) are recorded on the membership record so we can check eligibility and the annual call-out allowance.
  • Website use: the technical information your browser sends when you visit, such as your IP address, which our host uses to deliver and protect the website.

Why We Use It

  • To provide your membership and recover your motorcycle (to perform our contract with you). This includes using your date of birth to confirm you are 16 or over and to personalise your membership contract, and your Membership Number, name and registrations to identify you when you call. These details are needed to provide membership, so they are not optional.
  • To reply to enquiries and to run the dealership programme (our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us).
  • To take payments, keep accounts and meet our legal obligations.
  • To keep the website secure and working properly (our legitimate interest).

We do not sell your information. We will only send you news and offers if you tick the separate, optional box when you join, and you can change your mind at any time.

Who We Share It With

We share information only where we need to: with our website host, our payment provider, our email provider and, where needed to complete a recovery, with people involved in that recovery such as the garage or address you choose. We may also share information where the law requires it.

How Long We Keep It

We keep membership records for as long as you are a member and for a period afterwards to meet accounting and legal requirements. Enquiries that do not lead to membership are deleted when they are no longer needed.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies it needs to work, such as those that keep a member signed in or protect forms from misuse. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Your Rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it or restrict how we use it, object to how we use it and ask for it to be transferred. Contact us and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
